| GUESS WHAT EVERYONE?! I FINALLY GOT MY FULL LICENCE!!!!!!!!!! I CAN DRIVE 110KM/H LEGALLY NOW! yay! I had to get my licence today as it expires on friday and knowing me, you wouldnt expect me to wait this long despite my laziness for the last half year. however it doesnt change the fact that my dad will not let me drive. since its not my car, i cant drive it. yet i am unwilling to buy one with the exception of a Prius because it doesnt use up so much petrol (i'm too cheap for pay for petrol) and its more environmentally friendly.
dats all

on the surface my timetable looks beautiful to you science people but what you dont realise is the amount of work and time for which i have to stay behind at uni. the gaps in between classes are my studying and research times. the history HSTY3683 subject is the subject which i have to do if i wanna major in modern history and altho it looks like a 6 credit point unit of study, the work load is that of 12. i wanna cry.

| omg the last two days had been so hectic i felt like i was dying. yesterday as we all know, we all had to vote and me having signed on as an election official, worked to help and to earn some money. now you would think it would be all nice and dandy. no it really isnt. because i got sick. really sick. most of you know i have migraine sydrome that hits at anytime, making me vomit n dizzy and will sometimes make me pass out if it is in its most severe form. so here is how yesterday went for me:
got up at 6.30am yes am and got driven by mum to the election place at 7 to start working for the public at 7.15am. got marked off, was told what to do as a reminder for previous training for this job and got ready before the masses ran in at exactly 8am. man did they run. i've never seen so many grown ups all running, some with kids towards me in my life. n i felt so threatened. the bad thing was that there were only 5 ordinary vote officials including myself yesterday at this place (who were not absent vote/declaration vote officials) and there were over 2000 people who came yesterday. from 8am to 11am, it was non-stop voting for everyone. my alphabetical skills have never been given such a workout! and mac's/mc's were the hardest to look through coz there were so many and you would not believe certain surnames being that many in number. i nearly had a heart attack for some of them coz three of these surnames had at least 10 pages each listing all these people. i thought to myself, wow. i didnt think there were that common.
during the day, i got yelled at by some people all because they didnt want to vote. well it aint my fault that the law requires u to vote if u dun want a fine but i kept my mouth shut coz these people actually looked like they wanted to kill me. one lady who didnt bring her voter card and didnt want to show me her address on her driver's licence got all shittied up because she couldnt spell her surname out to me. not my fault u couldnt spell. one guy was even worse when he wanted to tell him how to vote (thus wanting to get me to fall into a trap of telling him who to vote for but i saw dat n told him something else), i told him to read, n if he cant read, just ask my manager about the rules of voting or jsut mark whoever he wants to. feeling confused, he asked me what my preference was n i sed i am here to mark everyone's names so we can all get outta here asap. knowing dat i'll never give in (coz i would end up being arrested if i did), he walked away sulking.
the voting day wasnt too bad but the counting of the votes was rather horrendous. namely being the amount we had to count. omg there were over 2000 for this small place and people made such crazy remarks on some of these votes dat was so hilarious. waste of a vote but otherwise hilarious. one wrote:"i vote for the wombats", another wrote, "your mum!", yet the silliest one who didnt vote on his/her paper wrote: "i'll vote if politicans tell the truth so for now i wont vote". silly thing to do. the least those people could have done was to vote for whoever n jsut leave. coz it makes it so much easier when we're counting formal or informal votes. counting votes in front of scrutineers was a rather stressful thing thing to do, they not only circle you and watch u like a hawk but they make u count everything 2-3 times using different officials so dat u dun cheat. fair enuf but it was so outrageous coz they kept talking n interrupting officials like myself counting. for any one official counting, there were at least 3 of 4 scrutineers watching n writing, n it makes u feel so uncomfortable. n ur back hurts from sorting out the votes coz u dun really have time to sit as all the sitting is done during the day before 6pm.
all dat counting contributed more to the already severe migraine i was having yesterday and most of you will know dat numbers hurt my head. after counting the first lot of votes i had to leave for the bathroom to throw up coz it made me feel so dizzy n sick.and the migraine got a lot worse after that as it got so severe, dat i threw up 4 times during the counting of the votes (dont worry i always ran to the bathroom before i threw up on any votes) and i actually passed out for 5 minutes according to my manager there after we finished counting the votes. i had to leave earlier than everyone ele there by like 15 minutes and i actually left the place at 11.30pm. mum picvked me up and i went home n threw up some more, getting up throughout the night n throwing up at least 1/3 of my body weight in water. felt like shit this morning when i went to work and i had to finish at 2.30pm instead of 5. i couldnt go home either coz i was working with a new girl and she didnt know how to cash up so i had to stay until 5. so i stayed at the back, sleeping and doing bows until 5. felt like shit the whole 2 days.
so people if ur thinking about being an election official the next time around, its not bad as the only bad thing is the counting of votes at night n possibly the yelling by people who didnt want to vote. but otherwise $300 for one day of sitting on ur butt, marking people's names and giving papers away is not a bad job. but i can only handle this once every 3 years. thank goodness.

| guess what everybody?! before november last year i applied for a one day job for the march state elections jsut to sit on my arse all day n mark ppl's names off n get $300. well it has come true for me and i'm taking the offer. yay! the downside is that i have to be early at 7.30 at the election poll place but its only for one day n its close so its all good. :D more money for Mary!!!
